I sometimes have a problem with my video loading using the realplayer. The realplayer continues to display the message Loading.. Loading.. The files have been ropted with the switch "ropt_6.0.exe -r 100000" for packet size.
I have tried making the packet size larger and smaller but still see the Loading problem occur. Setup: -Helix server on Win2003 server -RealPlayer -Using embedded real player. -Embedded Objects in IE6: Any ideas? Thanks -Rupert |

Hi Rupert,
I think the first thing I would do is to determine if it is a packet size issue. Usually, the default 960 byte packet works well. But if you set your bandwidth too low by hand using the ropt command, then it will do this. Try publishing the content to a web only server and set the protocol to http in all of your references. This will allow a faster download, but also tell us if the realplayer is having a problem communicating with the player. Thanks, OPTX Support |

Also, you might send a link to try in both cases?
