I was wondering if the screenwatch plugin pointed to the program files\real\realplayer to install the plugin. because with the 64 bit machines it puts the real folder in program files x86 which might be why I am unable to get the plugin to install.

Hi Lucas and Michael,

This does present a problem. If a user installs a 32 bit version of the realplayer on 64 bit vista, it puts it in program files (x86). If they install a 64 bit version of the realplayer, then it puts it just in Program files/....

As I don't know of a way to detect which version of the realplayer is installed (except for perhaps the path name), I think we should modify our installer to put the 2 dll files in both places.

A workaround for before we have this installer, is to copy scwatchff.dll and scwatch.dll to both
/Program Files (x86)/common files/real/plugins
and to:
/program files/common files/real/plugins

After copying them, you'll need to make sure the Realplayer is fully restarted.

We'll work on a new installer for this problem and get it posted to the site. I'll post to this thread when it is completed.

Thanks for the reports,
OPTX Support

We have posted a new version of the plugin installer that will take care of any Vista 64 bit issues.

Please download and try the installer again.

Thanks,
