We cannot make ScreenWatch files playback on a Vista PC. RealPlayer errors with "No plugin available" Download and install of the plugin from the ScreenWatch site does not help. Any ideas?

Hi,
I'll need more information on your problem. Real has a new beta player out (that is the default download from the real site), that should not be used for ScreenWatch at the present time.

It has some very nice new features, but is in beta right now and can cause a crash with the SW plugins.

Can you make sure you are using the Real non-beta player?

Thanks,
Brian Meyerpeter

Hi Michael,
I think what could have happened is that they already had the browser open and the realplayer activex open. Then after installing the plugins (because a beta player doesn't have our plugins), you needed to restart the web page to get the player to reread the plugins.

We have recently updated the plugins to fix a NULL(8) error. These were previously fixed on the windows media plugin, and just now rolled out to the realplayer plugin.

Hope that helps,
Brian Meyerpeter

Hi,
I am agin having Vista playback problems.
After installing Real 11 and the screenwatch plugin from your site I reboot and attempt to play http://archive.mc3.edu/faculty/lbender/screen.ram
AutoUpdate on th ereal player comes up with "RealPlayer needs to download new software to play this clip. AutoUpdate responds that there is no software updat to play the clip.
Thanks

We have posted a new version of the plugin installer that will take care of any Vista 64 bit issues.

Please download and try the installer again.

Thanks,
