Hi, I am evaluating your program and would be ready to buy, if I can solve that problem:
I need to record a PowerPoint Presentation, 1 Videofeed and the Audio. Not to overload the Computer with the presentation running, I prefer to connect it to another computer, where I can put in Audio and Video. So far, I have not been able to connect the computers, but they are connected (I see him in the network connections, I see his screen if I use VNC Viewer). Can you help me on that? On both computers, the program is installed (Trial version). Thanks for your help |

Hi,
I actually answered this in the ScreenWatch 5 forum. Here is my reply: My guess is that your firewall software is stopping us from communicating. We use several network ports to do the remote recording. If you could make sure those were off (we can configure them later), then that would be a good way to test. Also, when you select the remote recording option, make sure you do the "Test Connection" as that lets you test the connection and in the case of audio and video will let you get that remote machines device list. BTW: The new ScreenWatch uses very little cpu and you may not need to do what you are doing, but it should work fine. We had to do this with version 5 once in a while because of performance but version 6 uses about 65% less cpu than 5 did. If you continue to have problems connecting, please send email to support@optx.com and we can help you further offline. Thanks, OPTX Support |

thank you very much for your reply. I will try this tomorrow (it's already late over here in Europe). If the problem stays, I'll let you know. Thank you again

Hi,
Also, remember that by default the "prompt before beginning recording" is turned on. That means that once you do solve your audio/video network problem, you'll need to walk over to the machine who's screen you are trying to record and press OK at the prompt. Sometimes I have tried to do a network recording and forgotten that I had that on. SW waits until the user presses ok to initiate the recording. Thanks, OPTX Support |

First, I have to thank you for your fast and overall correct reply. After I've turned all stuff (Firewalls, McAffee, etc.) off, I have reinstalled everything, and it did the job as promised. Exactly, as you have said. I will now try another thing, I need to do. If there will be a problem, I will let you know. For the moment, I'm very happy with your help!
