Is it possible/permissable to include our school logo on the 'presentation' screen, above or below the 'swproducerblu120.gif'?

Yes it is. Actually, what you should do is just replace the swproducerblu120.gif with a same sized logo for your school.

If you are using the default template, then you will need to go to where SW is installed and then into the template/english/default/images folder. There you will find the image you are referring to and can modify it there. The next time you publish, the new image will be used.
