I have had Screen Watch Pro for 2 years and running it successfully on Windows 2000 Pro. I recently upgraded my media production workstations to Windows XP and discovered that Screen Watch no longer functions correctly. Screen watch now distorts the screen recording , which looks much like "mouse trails" but on the whole screen. I also had reccomended Screen Watch to a colleague who is experiencing the same issue. Screen Watch is now unusable to us. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could possibly be the problem?

Hi Courtney,
Alot depends on what version you are using. Around version 5.5 or 5.6, we changed the way we do the screen recording and now it is helpful if you lower your hardware acceleration on your graphics card. You may do this by right clicking on your desktop, choosing properties, then go to the Settings tab. From the settings tab, navigate to advanced, then troubleshoot, then you will see the slider bar where you can turn your hardware acceleration down. We highly recommend that you upgrade to version 6.0 though as it is written specifically for windows XP and has many new features (including a gui based editor). There is a special upgrade price for existing users also. Thanks, OPTX Support |
