After a fresh install of windows xp sp2 I installed screenwatch producer 5.5 again, but when I try to start it, it shuts down after the splash screen. Any known solutions?
I have another question about the possibilities of screenwatch producer because until now I only used it for recording lessons and distributing them afterwards. But is it possible with screenwatch producer to stream the recordings (powerpoint, video and audio of the instructor) at the same time the instructor is lecturing, so not after the lecture is ended/recorded? What hardware and operating system is recommended to capture and stream the video fluently to one person/computer not taking into account possible packet losses and the amount of routers the packets have to pass before reaching their destination? Thanks in advance, greetings, Dieter |

Hi Dieter,
You should probably use ScreenWatch 6.0 for recording on Windows XP as the version 5.5 is not supported on XP anymore. I think you'll find that with the editor and live webcasting (which concerns your other question), that it will work best for you. ScreenWatch 6.0 has a very robust live webcasting (sending out the stream as it records) set up. Once set up, you only need to double click on an icon, then press start to begin your broadcast. Please remember to completely uninstal ScreenWatch 5.5 and to reboot before trying to install version 6 as the 2 products could conflict with each other. Also, you can use a standard PC running windows XP to do your live webcasting. You may download a free evaluation copy at www.screenwatch.com. Best Regards, OPTX Support |
